WHAT MAKES OUR DOBERMANNS SPECIAL?

At Valley Gem Dobermanns we put a lot of effort and focus on testing our breeding dogs and puppies. All puppies are tested for specific drives such as play drive (retrieval) from six weeks of age.

We also specifically test our puppies for suitability for specific task dogs.

Our Dobermans are bred for physical robustness and working ability. We target a deep set solid dog true to the traditional dobermann lines in Europe.

Confidence, play drive, defence drive, stability, ability to be calm and adapt to a changing environment. Strong nerve, full mouth grip with a high aptitude to make the right desicions (switch on/off) and a willingness to please.

We are looking for strength and agility which make the dog athletic and less pre-disposioned for physical unsoundness. Our dogs are VWD tested to ensure health longevity. Some of our dobes were still fit to work when they were fifteen.

The average weight of our male dobermanns is approximate 45-55kg and 35-40kg for the females with an average height of approximate 69cm for the males and 68cm for the females.

Our dobermanss breeding dogs are farm dogs with acres to run. We choose our breeding dogs for trainability and reliability in a high stimulus environment. Our dobermanss have a high appitute with an exceptional outgoing nature which makers them socially stable.

We believe in a natural diet of fresh meats, vegetables, fruits and cereals to promote health and longevity for our dobermanns. All puppies come with a colourful booklet presentation covering a healthy diet, the daily care to keep your puppy healthy and proven training hints. We do not promote commercially processed food.

We are confident that the Valley Gem Dobermann puppy you bring home will grow up to be a loyal and devoted member of your family without any undesirable traits. We pride ourselves to breed Dobermanns with an outstanding pleasing attitude. Our priority is to breed proud  intelligent dogs who are a pleasure for the whole family.
